Short Profile of Dr. Baiju Ramachandran

• Dr. Baiju Ramachandran FCS is a well-known Company Secretary, Lawyer, Legal Advisor& Consultant especially in South India and also a distinguished academician.

• He is an M.Com First Rank holder and a gold medalist in LLB from the University of Kerala. In addition to a Ph.D in commerce, he also possesses additional Post Graduations in M.Com, MA, M.Sc, M.Phil, MBA, LL.M, MBL, MHRM, MFT, MFC, MMM, MLM, MRS, MTM and so on.

• He is the Director of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and also the Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) with memberships in many other Industrial and professional bodies, NCLT Bar Association etc. He is also in the Executive Committee of Indian Accounting Association.

• He has served in various roles including Chairman of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)’s Southern India Regional Council. The ICSI is a body constituted under an Act of Parliament under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India.

• He has more than 27 years of industrial/professional & academic experience.

• He is an advisor and a consultant for many PSUs, banks and private sector organizations. He is a member of the interview boards of many public and private sector organizations as a subject expert. He has actively organized several seminars, workshops, conferences etc.

• He has been serving as a Visiting Faculty in many reputed institutions. He is a member of Board of Studies of Alagappa University, Karikudi, and Mar Ivanios College (a college with Autonomous Status). He is also an Advisory Board Member of many approved journals.

• He has presented many papers and contributed several articles in approved journals. He has authored more than 25 books for commerce, management and law students.

• He has widely travelled and visited 42 countries so far and participated in several international conferences & seminars.

• He is also a recipient of many awards and recognitions such as Best Professional Award, Justice J Kunjiraman Memorial Gold Medal, Dr.C.N.Purushothan Nair Cash Award, Management Excellence Award, ICCI President’s Award etc.

• He is the Founder and Chairman of BRACS, a business consultancy& advisory firm providing the widest spectrum of corporate services under one roof.

• He is happily married to Dr. Saritha K R (HoD, Dept of Commerce, NSS College for Women, Neeramankara) and blessed with two children, Bharath & Mahalaxhmi.
